Additionally, Cheez-Its contain MSG. This, combined with its high sodium content, can induce overeating and contribute towards weight gain, putting you at risk for diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease. Cheez-Its do not have any nutritional value whatsoever. Any benefit (such as good flavor) is purely subjective. Cheez-It is a cheese cracker manufactured by the Kellogg Company through its Sunshine Biscuits division. Approximately 26 by 26 millimetres (1.0 by 1.0 in), the square crackers are made with wheat flour, vegetable oil, cheese made with skim milk, salt, and spices. Cheez-It crackers were introduced in 1921 by the Green & Green Company, a manufacturer of snack crackers based in Dayton, Ohio.
Heh, well I finally was able to answer the question of 'do Cheeze-its last forever?' a few years ago. And no they don't.I was in our RV (our being my parent's) and they were out buying groceries for our trip and I decided to kick it in the RV while they did boring store stuff. Well, I got hungry and decided I needed a snack.
So I went into the pantry and found a box of Cheeze-its. I knew they'd been there for a while, cause I always see them, but stale isn't really a bad thing. Some people completely hate stuff being stale, and will throw out something if it becomes stale. But I found out that cereal was actually created from stale bread. So who knows what's stale or not? Especially crackers like Cheeze-its. Who can tell if they get a bit stale?
Well, apparently 1 or 2 years is ok for Cheeze-its if you don't mind them being 'stale'. But as I started to munch on them, I immediately could tell something was wrong with them. I ate a few more, wondering why they tasted so funny. And then it dawned on me to check the expiration date. It had expired more than 3 years ago! So then I realized that Cheeze-its must have some dairy or dairy like product in them, cause they weren't moldy since they looked completely fine and I live in a very dry desert where mold is almost incomprehensible. No, the Cheeze-its had gone sour! Like bad milk!!! YUCK. I immediately stopped eating them, spit out the remainder I had been eating, and tried to wash down the nasty sour taste with a soda.
My parents had a good laugh when they came back. But now I know that Cheeze-its are probably not safe to eat after 3 years. Better to eat them in 2 or less if possible.
We sell entire trailer loads of soda (by the case) each week. Given this high rate of turnover, we rarely have issues with product going out of date in our warehouse (the occasional exception being specialty products that are in lower demand, particularly diet products in bottles, which carry a much shorter life span than can sodas). However, we often field questions about product shelf life from concerned customers, particularly due to the complex ways in which some manufacturers choose to stamp their products. Unfortunately, there is no consistent standard. Some manufacturers stamp a sell-by date, while others stamp a born-on date. Some expiration dates are easy to read, while others appear as complex codes that need to be deciphered and can easily be misinterpreted. The codes are subject to change, but here is our latest attempt at a summary guide: 7-Up/A&W Cans: Manufacture Date 7-Up and A&W brand cans are stamped (typically on the bottom of the can) with a manufacture date in MM DDD Y format. Shelf life is typically considered to be 9 months for regular sodas and 3 months for diet sodas. Also see our previous post: Of course, Coffee Distributing Corp. Carries dozens of sodas from a variety of manufacturers in a multitude of package sizes, and we can special-order just about anything that we don't typically stock.

Currently, the United States does not have a regulated or standard system for coding expiration dates on food, except for those on baby food and infant formula. All other dates and codes are added voluntarily by manufacturers. Expiration dates are unknown but as of today they all work. Esmy April 2, 2018 at 7:11 pm. How To Read Kellogg's Expiration Codes
As a follow-up to our post explaining how to read, here is some information about Mars' dating system. This information will be useful both to our vending customers -- who purchase candy bars individually from our snack machines -- and to our regular office customers, to whom we deliver candy by the box. Mars prints a manufacture code on its products. It contains one digit, representing the year, and two digits, representing the week. The product is then considered 'fresh' for one year following that manufacture date.

Any other digits or characters that you see on the packaging are other codes that do not refer to the shelf life of the product. The same code should appear on both the box and on the individual candy bar or bag. The month codes are read as follows: • A: January • B: February • C: March • D: April • E: May • F: June • G: July • H: August • I: September • J: October • K: November • L: December Note: Nestle brands that we sell include, but are not limited to: 100 Grand, Baby Ruth, Butterfinger, Chunky, Crunch, KitKat, and Raisinettes.
